Voodoo Donuts is a donut shop unlike any other! 16th Street Mall
Located in the heart of downtown, the 16th Street Pedestrian mall is 1.25 miles long and boasts a wide variety of shops, cafes, theaters, and people-watching. There are free buses that stop on every corner, and you can even ride in a horse-drawn carriage in the evening! Choose your perfect meal from one of the 42 restaurants and enjoy a movie at Denver Pavilions.
Tattered Cover Book Store
Do you love stepping into a bookstore and taking in the scent of paper and ink? The Tattered Cover is one of the largest independent booksellers in the country. Besides its inventory of a million books (all branches combined), this one-of-a-kind spot also sells greeting cards, gifts, and has a café. Look around to find notes from fellow bookworms that suggest which books to read and why.
Denver Aquarium
The Denver Aquarium is a fantastic way to spend the day learning more about the aquatic habitats of the world. Over 500 species are housed here, and in addition to the water animals, you can also see tigers and other animals that you wouldn’t normally see in an aquarium. There is a large restaurant on-site that has a diverse and interesting menu for your enjoyment.
