What is CLE?
At College Living Experience (CLE), we believe every student’s path is unique. Each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges are different, and our role is to support them as they build independence in real, meaningful ways. CLE supports young adults who are ready for college or employment but need additional guidance in areas such as executive functioning, daily routines, social connections, and independent living as they transition into adulthood.
Students enrolled at CLE simultaneously pursue higher education at a local college or work toward their career aspirations. We go beyond traditional education by integrating scheduled instruction and coaching throughout the day, providing the structure many students need. CLE is not a replacement for higher education or employment; instead, we work alongside those experiences, helping students translate what they are learning into everyday life.
Our approach extends beyond traditional instruction. Students receive individual and small-group coaching tailored to their pathway, with a focus on managing daily life, navigating relationships, advocating for themselves, and building confidence in new environments. Learning happens everywhere: at home, on campus, at work, and in the community, and adapts as students’ needs and goals evolve.
Through comprehensive coaching and a strong sense of community, CLE supports young adults as they live on their own, build meaningful connections, and take ownership of their growth. The result is not just success in college or a career, but the foundation for long-term independence, belonging, and a life that feels self-directed.
How We Help Students?
The ‘how’ of it all. At CLE, every student’s path towards success starts with a simple truth: no single coach, professor, or prep-class can prepare a young adult for all of life’s challenges. That’s why we’ve built a coordinated, multidisciplinary team to covers angle of growth and independence.
Instead of navigating multiple providers across different locations and calendars, our students have access to the support need in one place, with one team that communicates and collaborates with each other, the student and even the student’s family.
Here’s how it comes together:
- Academic Coaching & Tutoring: Support for coursework, study habits, time management, and executive functioning skills that help students thrive in their programs.
- Life Skills Instruction: Practical, hands-on guidance in all areas of “adulting” – everything from cooking and cleaning to personal organization and daily routines.
- Career Coaching: Resume building, job search skills, interview practice, and workplace etiquette to launch confidently into the professional world.
- Financial Coaching: Budgeting, banking, and decision-making skills that build financial independence and responsibility.
- Social & Wellness Support: Strategies for healthy relationships, conflict resolution, physical well-being, and mental health self-care.
The difference is in integration. Each of these areas doesn’t live in a silo. They all weave together as the CLE team shares insights, coordinates goals, and reinforces skills across every part of a student’s life. The result is a holistic, deeply personalized approach that builds competence, confidence, and independence.
At CLE, we support the whole journey of our students – from academics or career to independent living and social life – as one connected experience.
CLE services are not singularly confined to one school, degree path, dorm, or industry, but rather holistically focused on navigating the changing path of any student as they learn and grow.
CLE transcends traditional, linear support by meeting students at the intersections of academics, career, and personal growth. It’s not just about getting through a semester – it’s about preparing for a lifetime.
Every young adult and their circle of support has a vision of what their future could hold. At CLE, our team provides the structure, support, and encouragement to help them navigate the realities of their path and steps to get there. We work with students and their families to answer the big questions.
Important questions to discuss:
- What do you want life after college to look like?
- Which education or career path best fits your strengths and interests?
- Where do you want to live, and how do you want to connect with your community?
- What kind of relationships and networks will support your goals?
From there, we help students take steady, achievable steps toward independence, blending academic guidance, career readiness, independent living skills, and social engagement into one cohesive experience.
