I set about asking students in Austin what they want in their ideal partner and we got some great qualities listed. Very few students talked about physical traits that they want in a partner, most talk about the personal qualities that they think are important to them in a relationship. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and good luck on finding that special someone.

First and foremost, my ideal partner would need to have a great sense of humor. They need to enjoy having a good time but in a responsible way. They would also need to be nice, kind, gentle, sweet and caring.

Caroline B.

Most importantly my ideal partner would need to be a trustworthy person and a strong Christian. I want a guy who will love me for being me and who is faithful to me.

My ideal partner would be someone who is talented, respectful, loving, thoughtful and honest.

Kirby G.

My ideal partner has to be funny and is someone who knows how to have fun. He would need to be creative and also be a fellow geek like me, (he must like Star Wars, Star Trek and be a history buff). He needs to love being outdoors and is not afraid to get his hands dirty.

I want someone that I can laugh with, someone who likes my quirky personality. I want someone who likes some of my interests but also has some interests of their own. My ideal partner also needs to have integrity.

My ideal partner would need to like sports and video games. They need to be friendly and have a positive attitude to life. They have to be funny.

I would like a partner who is intelligent, someone who is a good listener and knows what they want from our relationship.

My ideal partner would need to have a good memory and they should be smart and funny. They would need to like video games and hopefully be really pretty.

Jenna L.

My ideal partner is someone who is nice, kind and above all treats me well. They would also need to understand what is important to me and value that and not dismiss my passions. I would like them to allow me to freely talk about my interests, without shutting me down.

My ideal partner must share my love for animals. They would also need to like books and movies, so we can have discussions about these topics. The would also need to be trustworthy and treat me with respect.
