Social Development

In addition to daily work experiences, students have a blast participating in a variety of recreational activities such as bowling, geocaching / scavenger hunt,
and Amy’s Ice Cream.

These daily group activities are designed to enhance the students’ interpersonal skills both with their peers and in the workplace. While building and strengthening new relationships, students have the opportunity to continue to generalize their social skills to new settings.

Groups focused on social skills as they relate to work are included so students can reflect upon their experiences while also focusing on problem solving, self-advocacy, and setting goals.
